Venue Terms
Last updated: 9 September 2026
These terms cover visits to Shuffle Loft and use of this information and enquiry website. Our address is Suite 9, collabHQ, 178 Kaikorai Valley Road, Kaikorai, Dunedin, New Zealand.. Please contact [email protected] with questions or concerns.
Free entry and play
Entry to the venue, board games, the Casino Room, organised games and tournaments are free. There is no hourly charge, table fee, paid membership, compulsory order, minimum spend, deposit or purchase required to participate.
Food and drinks are sold separately at the published menu prices. Buying them is voluntary and does not change access to games, the number of chips, the outcome or any conditions of participation.
Casino Room rules
All games are played in person for entertainment. No stakes involving real money, property or anything else of value are permitted. This includes private arrangements between visitors; staff will stop such arrangements.
There are no cash winnings or prizes with material value. Prohibited prizes include goods, food, drinks, discounts, gift certificates and advantages that can be exchanged for value. Chips and game points are provided free, are not sold or bought back, and cannot be redeemed, transferred for value or exchanged for anything. They are used only to play the game and determine its result.
Follow the table rules and staff directions. Staff may pause a game, stop a prohibited arrangement or require a person who refuses to comply to leave. The Casino Room has a 20+ house policy. This is the venue’s rule, not a statement about a statutory casino age or a gambling licence.
This website does not offer online play, stakes, wallets, deposits, withdrawals or links to money-gambling services.
Alcohol and conduct
Alcohol is prohibited throughout the venue. It cannot be ordered, brought in or consumed. Visitors who are intoxicated are not admitted. Treat staff and other visitors respectfully, take care of game components and keep food and drinks clear of play areas. Staff may intervene when conduct disrupts other visitors or damages equipment.
Visiting and the weekly programme
Normal visits, board games and free-play Roulette do not require advance registration. For organised sessions an advance enquiry is recommended, but not required. The published programme is a recurring weekly schedule in Dunedin local time, with two dealer-led Blackjack sessions and two poker tournaments on different days each week.
Submitting the form is a request for a reply. It does not automatically reserve a place, guarantee availability or grant exclusive use of the Casino Room. An arrangement is confirmed only after a staff member responds. Please tell us if your plans change.
If programme or opening arrangements change, we will update the published information and discuss changes to any agreed arrangement with the affected visitor. These terms do not give us a right to change agreed conditions retrospectively without an appropriate basis or agreement.
Food, drinks and consumer rights
Menu prices are in New Zealand dollars and include applicable taxes. Ingredient labels do not guarantee the absence of allergens or cross-contact; ask staff before ordering if this matters for you.
If food, drinks or a service do not meet an applicable consumer guarantee, contact us so we can address the issue and provide any remedy required by law. Nothing here removes mandatory rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986. We do not impose an absolute no-refunds rule.
Questions, complaints and website use
Contact us with what happened, when it happened and the outcome you are seeking. We will consider the concern and respond. Please use the website lawfully and do not attempt to disrupt it, submit other people’s personal information unnecessarily or interfere with its security.
We aim to keep the website accurate. Contact us if something appears incorrect. Updates apply from their stated date; they do not remove accrued consumer rights.
